Pumpkins, Squashes and Gourds

Welcome to the Iron Oak Farm Pumpkin Page. I have always been fascinated with pumpkins. They are the quintessential symbol of fall, my favorite time of year. Each one is bulbous, different and you might even say awkward. Their whimsical colors, shapes and sometimes strangely textured skin gives them an almost human-like personality.

Many of these specimens were grown right here at Iron Oak Farm. Some were collected from farmers markets, cider mills or wherever strange gourds and pumpkins can be found. Many of these varieties are heirlooms some are hybrids but all are magnificent and interesting. Each year I hope to add to this page and compile a lengthy list for your knowledge, experience and enjoyment. Click on any of the variety titles below to learn more.
